Who We Are

We started dashcam.guide because finding honest, practical information about dashcams was harder than it should be.

Most of what exists online is either written by brands trying to sell you something, or generic content that treats every driver the same — whether you own one car or a 50-truck fleet.

We are neither.

dashcam.guide is an independent editorial publication. We research, test, and write about dashcams, fleet safety, driver monitoring, and vehicle technology — with one goal: to give you the clearest, most useful information available, so you can make the right decision for your situation.

We do not accept payment for rankings. We do not publish sponsored reviews disguised as editorial content. If we recommend something, it is because the research supports it.

Built for Real People Making Real Decisions

Whether you are buying your first dashcam for a personal vehicle, managing a fleet of 20 trucks, or trying to understand why your insurance broker keeps mentioning telematics, this site is built for you.

Personal drivers

Looking for straightforward advice on which dashcam to buy, how to install it, and how it protects them if something goes wrong on the road.

Small fleet owners

Running tight operations of 5–50 vehicles who need fleet-grade protection without enterprise pricing or enterprise complexity.

Fleet managers

Responsible for driver safety, compliance, and insurance costs — and looking for data-driven guidance on dashcam systems, ADAS, driver monitoring, and more.

First-time buyers

Who have never owned a dashcam and just want someone to explain what they are, how they work, and whether they actually need one.

How We Research and Write

Every article on dashcam.guide is written to answer a real question that real people are searching for. Here is how we approach it:

Independent research first We draw on publicly available data, verified customer reviews, manufacturer specifications, industry reports, and FMCSA documentation. We do not rely on brand-supplied information alone.

No sponsored rankings Our buying guides and comparison articles are based on research criteria, price, features, contract terms, customer feedback, and real-world usability. No brand can pay to be ranked higher.

Plain English, always The dashcam and fleet safety space is full of jargon. We translate it. If we cannot explain something clearly without acronyms, we do not publish it until we can.

Updated Dashcam technology, pricing, and regulations change. We review and update our core content to keep it accurate. If you spot something that needs updating, tell us.

Our Commitment to You

We take the independence of this publication seriously. Here is what that means in practice:

  • No paid placements. Brands cannot pay to appear in our buying guides or reviews.

  • No undisclosed affiliates. If we use affiliate links, we say so clearly — and it never influences our rankings or recommendations.

  • Corrections policy. If we get something wrong, we correct it publicly and promptly. Accuracy matters more than being right.

  • No fear or favour. If a major brand has a serious problem — contract lock-ins, missing footage complaints, billing disputes — we cover it honestly. Our readers deserve to know.
